Low Profile Fire Collars

Low Profile Fire Collars

The Allproof low-profile collars have been designed and tested on a variety of plastic plumbing pipes, AC services, and electric services passing through concrete walls/floors, composite floors, and plasterboard walls. These collars consist of intumescent strip(s) encased in a galvanized or stainless steel casing with fixing tabs. The advanced intumescent technology enables the Allproof fire collar to achieve a height of only 27mm for the 25-80mm range.

In the event of a fire, the intumescent material expands against the steel casing as the penetration service melts or deforms. The fire collar’s steel casing is an excellent heat conductor, facilitating fast activation of the intumescent, forming a stable fire-resistant seal, maintaining both fire integrity and insulation.

Allproof low-profile collars have undergone testing at accredited fire laboratories in accordance with AS1530.4 and AS4072.1. The collars are designed to be installed face fixed on the underside of flooring substrates for both stack and floor waste systems. For plasterboard walls, the collars can be installed both face fixed and inverted, as stipulated in the Allproof fire manuals.
